The Elder Scrolls V: Skyrim Game Add-Ons (DLC) Hints

Retrieve the ancient nordic pickaxe.

  • 1 of 5: The first time you talk to Glover Mallory, Raven Rock's resident blacksmith, he'll give you this quest.
  • 2 of 5: Find Crescius Caerellius in the Caerellius House or the Raven Rock Mine, and tell him that Glover wants his ancient nordic pickaxe back. (Note that you'll first have to talk to him about the "The Final Descent" side quest if you haven't already.)
  • 3 of 5: You can then let Crescius keep the pickaxe, or you can insist that it isn't his in order to get him to hand it over.
  • 4 of 5: If you let him keep the pickaxe, go tell Mallory he lost it in order to get a leveled amount of gold. If you got the pickaxe, report back to Mallory to find that he's willing to let you keep it as your reward.
  • 5 of 5: TIP: To get both the gold and the pickaxe, let Crescius keep the pickaxe, then pickpocket it from him after getting the gold from Mallory.
