The Elder Scrolls V: Skyrim Game Add-Ons (DLC) Hints

Survive Darkfall Passage.

  • 1 of 10: Use the shimmering wall in the wayshrine to teleport to the Darkfall Passage area, then move down the passage until a chaurus hunter fledgling bursts out of a large cocoon.
  • 2 of 10: Kill the hunter, then loot it to get its antennae, which is another new potion-making ingredient.
  • 3 of 10: Watch for a falmer dropping down and attacking when you enter each of the two pools of water ahead, followed by a falmer mage and a couple of chaurus.
  • 4 of 10: Find a narrow passage on the west side of the mage's cave room, then watch for a falmer and a swinging claw trap as you go down it. A ways past them are a few chaurus cocoons that you can optionally destroy, followed by a large cave room with several falmer in it.
  • 5 of 10: Fight your way to the back of the area, then use the north passage to reach another large area with falmer in it (and some gleamblossom plants). Get onto the higher ground, then cross the bridge and fight your way through the rest of the area.
  • 6 of 10: In the room with the large blue crystal formations, go around them to find a passage that leads to a large falmer cave with some chaurus in a pen. There are two passages in the back of it, one of which (the tripwired one) just leads to some optional loot.
  • 7 of 10: Go down the other passage, watching out for a tripwire a short way down it, and keep going until you come across a heavily trapped rock "door."
  • 8 of 10: Go past the vale cat's position and around to where there's a large poison bloom plant. It'll start shaking around when you get close to it, and you'll need to quickly harvest it before it converts its bloom into a poisonous gas that'll drain your health.
  • 9 of 10: Make your way down the wide path, watching for more gleamblossom and poison bloom plants to harvest, until you reach a narrow stone walkway where a couple of weird-looking vale deer are running around.
  • 10 of 10: Follow the stone path along and kill another vale sabre cat to eventually get to where you receive the next objective.
