(Optional) Ask innkeepers in cities about the Moth Priest.
1 of 3: Enter the inn in any major city (such as Whiterun or Solitude) and talk to the person behind the counter.
2 of 3: Ask if he's heard anything about a Moth Priest passing through, then try to persuade him to tell you.
3 of 3: If you can't, then either bribe him or do one of the other two optional objectives that gets you the same information.
