Ancient Technology

  • 1 of 7: You can get this quest anytime after finishing the "A New Order" main-line quest by asking Sorine Jurard what you can do to help.
  • 2 of 7: She'll tell you to get one of six crossbow-related schematics from a randomly chosen location.
  • 3 of 7: Make the quest active and follow the quest arrow to the chosen location, then fight your way through it until you find a quest-arrow-marked container.
  • 4 of 7: Get the schematic from the container, plus any other dwarven loot you want, then return to Fort Dawnguard.
  • 5 of 7: Talk to Sorine and turn in the schematic to get a random, leveled weapon or apparel item.
  • 6 of 7: She'll now have the new item (enhanced crossbow, or whatever) available for sale, and you'll be able to make it yourself at a forge if you have the appropriate Smithing perk (which will be Steel Smithing for four of them, and Dwarven Smithing for the other two).
  • 7 of 7: As soon as you finish the quest, you can ask Sorine what you can do to help again. That'll get you this quest again, with a different schematic to go after. You can do the quest up to six times to get all the schematics.
