How can I get the key from the south side area?
1 of 6: Past the south gate, move down the passage and through an iron door, then crouch down and start sneaking forward slowly.
2 of 6: Watch for draugr resting in burial niches, and try to get the first strike on them. There are several of them, and Tharstan will be absolutely no help in combat.
3 of 6: Past some stairs, take down another draugr, then use a pull chain to open the gate that leads to a room with a closed gate at its other end.
4 of 6: When you go past that gate, three draugr will rise up, including a powerful deathlord with an ebony bow. Retreat and try to take the other two draugr down before dealing with the deathlord.
5 of 6: After killing the deathlord, loot its body to get the left half of an amethyst claw. That's the key you're after.
6 of 6: Get a word for the Battle Fury shout from the nearby Word Wall, then look to the left of it for an open sarcophagus with a cave tunnel past it. You can use that tunnel to shortcut your way back to the central chamber. (Note that you'll need to use a pull chain at the end of the tunnel to open a secret door.)
