The Elder Scrolls V: Skyrim Game Add-Ons (DLC) Hints

Slay Harkon.

  • 1 of 5: Harkon will move rapidly about the room, occasionally teleporting himself to a different spot. He'll attack you with his blood magic, and will summon a gargoyle every now and then.
  • 2 of 5: He moves too fast for you to get good bow or crossbow hits frequently. You may want to switch to using a melee weapon, though chasing him around can be hard, too. (Unfortunately, he seems to be immune to paralysis, so you probably won't ever be able to immobilize him.)
  • 3 of 5: Summoning a creature like a dremora lord would be a good idea to help keep Harkon occupied and off your back.
  • 4 of 5: When he takes a certain amount of damage, he'll teleport over to the blood fountain and hover over it to regain health. When he does, immediately get out Auriel's Bow (which you hopefully didn't give to him) and shoot arrows at him until he teleports again.
  • 5 of 5: Quickly take down the skeletons and/or gargoyles that he summoned, then go after him again. Focus your best attacks on him until he dies, at which time this quest will be finished.
