Post-Quest Notes
1 of 4: You can go right back into the Soul Cairn region and run back to the castle area where you first met Valerica. You'll find her working at her alchemy table to the left of the Boneyard area's entry doors.
2 of 4: Tell her you could use help with the crystals around here, and she'll start letting you trade her five soul husks at a time for one soul husk extract potion. Even if you're through getting stuff from underneath the giant life-draining soul gems, the potions can still be useful for their +25% resist magic effect.
3 of 4: When you're ready to leave Castle Volkihar, go through the door that's in the southern corner of the lab area. If you haven't already, that'll discover a new fast-travel location called Castle Volkihar Balcony, which you can use to quickly return to the lab and reenter the Soul Cairn.
4 of 4: After you fast-travel somewhere, use the Summon Durnehviir shout while looking down at the ground. (This is assuming you've finished the "Dragon Rising" main quest, and have three dragon souls with which to fully unlock the shout.) The first three times you use it, Durnehviir will talk to you and teach you one word of the Soul Tear shout. (Note that you'll have to unlock it with dragon souls, too.)
