The Elder Scrolls V: Skyrim Game Add-Ons (DLC) Hints

What all good stuff is there in the castle?

  • 1 of 10: One of the castle's "cattle" is in the cathedral area you start in. You can activate him and choose to feed on him to revert your vampiric-ness back to stage 1.
  • 2 of 10: Leave the cathedral and go down the stairs, then turn left and go up some stairs to reach Lord Harkon's chamber.
  • 3 of 10: If you're a really talented pickpocket, you may be able to pickpocket Harkon's sword. It has a nice vampire-friendly enchantment on it.
  • 4 of 10: Up near the chamber's NW corner are four little display cases in a row. If you can pick the lock on the leftmost one, you'll be able to steal a bonehawk amulet. This is useful to do if you want to enchant and wear it for its cool, weird look, and don't want to have to hunt up the components necessary to smith one of your own at a forge.
  • 5 of 10: Look on one of the tables east of the display cases to find a potion of blood that you can steal. Drinking a potion of blood will revert you back to a stage 1 vampire, the same as feeding on vampire cattle or a sleeping person. It'll also restore up to 100 points of health.
  • 6 of 10: Go back past the stairs that lead up to the cathedral, then look for an arched doorway with stairs leading down. Go down the stairs and check the room to find two coffins on the floor that you can sleep in, plus four sets of vampire armor that you can steal in the back of the room. There's also two pairs of vampire boots on the floor, plus a locked display case with another bonehawk amulet in it.
  • 7 of 10: Go through the room's other door to reach the alchemist's room. Feran Sadri is the alchemist, and Ronthil may also be there or nearby. They're both merchants, and Ronthil is also an expert trainer of the Speech skill. There's an alchemy table at one end of the room, and some stairs at the other end that lead up to an Arcane Enchanter and two locked display cases with some good stuff in them.
  • 8 of 10: Go along the walkway past the Arcane Enchanter until you can turn right and find some vampire armor and vampire gloves on a counter, then go back down the stairs and check out the main banquet hall. Pretty gory, huh? Check all the tables to find three more potions of blood.
  • 9 of 10: Check the Bloodstone Chalice room east of the banquet hall to find another pair of vampire boots, then go through the open door that's just south of that room to reach a large area with practice dummies and a blacksmith's forge area. Talk to Hestla to find out that she's a merchant, then see if Fura Bloodmouth is around. She's a master trainer of the Two-Handed skill.
  • 10 of 10: Go through the open doors that are just north of the Bloodstone Chalice room, then go on down to the dungeon area to find lots of cattle to feed on. Moo!
