The Elder Scrolls V: Skyrim Game Add-Ons (DLC) Hints

Dead Drop Falls

  • 1 of 11: Go down the short passage to reach a room where you can drop straight down into some water.
  • 2 of 11: Go north to find the entrance to an even larger flooded cave room, then go past the dead skeever that was apparently killed by a bear trap.
  • 3 of 11: Watch out for pressure plates and tripwires as you go along the narrow stone walkway that leads to a drawbridge puzzle.
  • 4 of 11: Past the third drawbridge, you'll come up against a closed iron gate.
  • 5 of 11: Past the second iron gate is a small cave room with a third closed gate in it. There's also a chest hidden up on a ledge to the right of the gate, and some bolts on top of a barrel.
  • 6 of 11: A short way past that gate is yet another one.
  • 7 of 11: Check the table past the gate to find several exploding bolts that do elemental damage to their targets, then look around for some more loot. (Note that two satchels are glued onto the left side of the set of shelves.)
  • 8 of 11: After you're through there, use the door on the south side of the room to enter the Dead Drop Mine area.
  • 9 of 11: When you return to this area from the other end of the mine, use the lever on the left wall to open a gate, then go through it and turn right.
  • 10 of 11: Move along the passage until you come to another lever, then use it to open a secret door in the rock wall ahead.
  • 11 of 11: Past it, look for a chest to loot, then drop down to find yourself back near the top of the big hole you dropped into earlier. From there, you can easily return to the fort.
