The Elder Scrolls V: Skyrim Game Add-Ons (DLC) Hints

Ruunvald Temple

  • 1 of 8: Move along the passage until you come to the entrance to a very large room.
  • 2 of 8: Crouch down and sneak over to the top of the stairs that lead down to the room's main floor, then see if you can sneak-shoot Minorne, Moric Sidrey, or their charmed Vigilant.
  • 3 of 8: TIP: Killing Minorne will automatically kill the other two if they're still alive.
  • 4 of 8: After all three are dead, go up the stairs in the back of the room so you can approach the large cage.
  • 5 of 8: You'll find that Florentius Baenius is being held prisoner in it.
  • 6 of 8: Talk to Florentius and tell him about Isran needing him at Fort Dawnguard to finish the quest.
  • 7 of 8: NOTE: You can open the door in the south wall and go down the passage past it to find a room with some treasure in it. Use the lever that's against the south wall to raise a stairwell in the center of the room, then go down the stairs to find a door that leads outside.
  • 8 of 8: NOTE: After Florentius gets to Fort Dawnguard, he'll set up an alchemy table in the large western cave room, plus he'll be a merchant and a master trainer of the Restoration skill. He also has two randomized side quests that you'll be able to do, though note that you may have to do side quests for Gunmar and/or Isran first, depending on random chance.
