How can I get down the trapped passage safely?
1 of 5: There's a spell tome for Steadfast Ward on a pedestal near the start of the passage. You could use that spell to protect you as you move past the traps.
2 of 5: Or you could go around and disarm the traps while staying under cover.
3 of 5: Most of the traps are magic pedestals with soul gems on top of them that shoot cold damage or fireballs at you. You disarm a pedestal by taking its soul gem or knocking it off. (Note that the Fireball spell is great for knocking the soul gems off.)
4 of 5: Past the first two pedestals is a magic rune on the floor. Trigger it by hitting it from a distance with a spell.
5 of 5: The three pedestals at the other end of the passage can be a real problem. You could try knocking their soul gems off with ranged attacks, or summoning a creature to draw their fire. (Note that if a summoned creature is close to those pedestals when they fire, the blast may knock their soul gems off.)
