The Elder Scrolls V: Skyrim Hints
Find the Thalmor assassin.
1 of 6: After you finish the "Diplomatic Immunity" Main Quest, you can find Malborn (if he survived the quest) in Windhelm's New Gnisis Cornerclub.
2 of 6: Talk to him to get this objective, then go to the place just east of the Windhelm Stables where Ri'saad and his caravan periodically set up camp.
3 of 6: Talk to Ri'saad and say you're looking for a khajiit Thalmor spy. He'll point out the nearby J'datharr.
4 of 6: Talk to him and say that Malborn has a message for him to turn him hostile. Or crouch down and sneak-attack him without talking to him.
5 of 6: Watch for him to fully heal himself the first time his health gets low. Fortunately, he won't do that again.
6 of 6: Return to the cornerclub and tell Malborn that the Thalmor assassin is dead. He'll give you a leveled amount of gold as a reward.
