Are there any easy places to steal fire salts from?

  • 1 of 7: You can pretty easily steal ten or more of them if you're willing to do a lot of traveling.
  • 2 of 7: In the College of Winterhold, you can get two fire salts from the Hall of Countenance. One is on a shelf in the SW downstairs room, and the other one is on a shelf in the NE upstairs room.
  • 3 of 7: You can also get one from the College's Hall of Attainment. It's on the highest shelf in the SE downstairs room.
  • 4 of 7: There are also three fire salts in the College's Midden area, if you're willing to fight an ice wraith and a few skeletons to get to them. The first two are on the table that's next to the doorway to the Atronach Forge area. For the third one, enter the Midden Dark area, then look for the fire salts inside a large kettle in the room with the big black gauntlet relic in the middle of it.
  • 5 of 7: You can sneakily steal three fire salts from a shelf on a cupboard in Septimus Signus's Outpost, which is a ways north of the College of Winterhold.
  • 6 of 7: Go to the Mortar and Pestle store in Dawnstar, then look for fire salts on the alchemy lab, on a shelf next to the alchemy lab, and on an upstairs dresser. (Note that you can buy the two downstairs ones from Frida if you have the gold.)
  • 7 of 7: That'll be more than need you if you got the ones from the College's Midden area. Otherwise, go to Whiterun's Arcadia's Cauldron shop and steal the fire salts from one of the small stands on the counter (or buy them from Arcadia).
