How can I open the gate that's on their room's upper floor?
1 of 7: Looking around for gate-opening gimmicks, you won't find any standard ones, like levers.
2 of 7: Go down to the lower floor and look on the table.
3 of 7: You see that pressure plate? Try jumping onto the table and standing on it.
4 of 7: That opens the gate! But the gate will close again as soon as you get off of it.
5 of 7: You'll need to use something to weight it down so you can go past the gate while it's open.
6 of 7: Fortunately, anything will work, including the ruined books and wooden bowl that are on the table.
7 of 7: Use Grab mode to drag one of those items (or any other) onto the pressure plate, then drop it there. It should hold the gate open, allowing you to go past it.
