Civil War Quests
There's a big civil war going on in Skyrim between the Empire and the followers of a rebel jarl named Ulfric Stormcloak. Who you follow into the keep in the first main quest (Hadvar the Imperial or Ralof the Stormcloak) is seen as an early decision on which side to support, but you can change your mind later on when you're ready to start on these quests.
