Where can I find the ingredients I need to make the staffs?

  • 1 of 7: Start by looking around in the Midden area near the forge.
  • 2 of 7: There's a broom leaning against the table that's to the left of the forge's doorway, and an orichalcum ingot on top of the wardrobe that's next to the table.
  • 3 of 7: Go back to the large room near the entrance and look for another broom on the upper floor near some mushrooms.
  • 4 of 7: Exit the Midden area and enter the Hall of Attainment, then look for void salts on a small table in the NE ground-floor room.
  • 5 of 7: That's everything you need for one staff except for a greater soul gem, which you can buy from one of the mages (preferably not Enthir, since he charges more). Since it doesn't need to have a soul in it, try to find an empty one to buy.
  • 6 of 7: If you're wanting to make another staff, you'll have to buy another empty greater soul gem, then go find some void salts and an orichalcum ingot elsewhere. The alchemy and smithing merchants in other cities would be a good place to look, provided you have enough money to buy the items. If not, just make one staff for now.
  • 7 of 7: NOTE: In Whiterun, there are a couple of void salts in the Arcadia's Cauldron shop that you can sneakily steal, and you can probably buy an orichalcum ingot from Adrianne Avenicci outside the Warmaiden's shop (or from the guy inside the shop).
