Read the Elder Scroll at the Time-Wound.
1 of 3: WARNING: Don't go any farther if you're not ready for a very tough combat with a very tough dragon. Make sure you have a follower, a Conjuration spell that'll summon a powerful creature, potions and spells that give temporary fire resistance, and all of that sort of thing in addition to your best weapons and armor. Also, make a regular save at this point, just in case.
2 of 3: Fast-travel to the Throat of the World, then go past the spot where Paarthurnax is waiting to find the shimmery "time wound."
3 of 3: Quicksave, then go to the books section of your inventory and click on the Elder Scroll to read it. If that doesn't get you the next objective, try doing so again in a slightly different position.
