The Elder Scrolls V: Skyrim Hints

Retrieve the blade shards of Mehrunes' Razor.

  • 1 of 7: The razor's shards can be found inside Cracked Tusk Keep. See the Falkreath section of the World Map Exploration Guide.
  • 2 of 7: After you kill off the outdoor bandits, enter the keep and look for the shards.
  • 3 of 7: They're in the Cracked Tusk Vaults area. There are two possible routes to that area: one that requires you to pick two tough locks, and one that doesn't (but has more combat).
  • 4 of 7: Move down the vault passageway until you come to a doorway that's blocked by spears.
  • 5 of 7: Look on both sides of the doorway for levers on pillars that will remove the spears.
  • 6 of 7: Past the doorway, either jump over the three tripwires, or break each one and wait for the dart trap that it activates to stop spitting darts.
  • 7 of 7: Go up to the pedestal past the tripwires and take the shards from it, then stand and wait for the last dart traps to stop firing.
