The Elder Scrolls V: Skyrim Hints
Reach Alduin's portal to Sovngarde.
1 of 6: After Odahviing takes off, get out your bow and see if you can sneak-attack any of the draugr that are wandering around the structures on the other side of the water. If you can't see any, fire some arrows over there in various spots to lure some into the open.
2 of 6: After you kill several draugr or use the bridge to cross the water, a dragon will swoop down on you. It's best to use your shouts, weapons, etc. to kill it on your side of the water, then cross the bridge.
3 of 6: Turn right past the bridge and watch for draugr as you move south. When you get near the Skudafn South Tower, another dragon will swoop down and attack. You can retreat into the tower for a break, but you'll have to fight several draugr inside.
4 of 6: After the dragon is dealt with, go up the steps to the east and past a ruined tower, then turn north and go up some stairs to find a door that leads into the Skuldafn Temple. There will, of course, be several draugr to fight on the way.
5 of 6: You'll need to make your way through two identically-named temple areas in order to reach the outdoor area with Alduin's portal.
6 of 6: After you exit the second temple area, kill any nearby draugr, then turn left and go around to where you can climb some steps to reach the portal area.
