The Elder Scrolls V: Skyrim Hints
Travel to Irkngthand.
1 of 4: Leave Nightingale Hall and travel to Irkngthand, which is a ways west of Windhelm. See the World Map Exploration Guide for specific directions.
2 of 4: TIP: Before you go there, stock up on healing and Invisibility potions, and get yourself a spell or staff that can summon an atronach. (See the Combat Tips.) It would also be helpful to get a potion or enchanted item with the Waterbreathing effect on it.
3 of 4: Move into Irkngthand's outer ruins and take down all the bandits you can see, including an archer on a wall.
