The Elder Scrolls V: Skyrim Hints
Find Red Eagle's sword.
1 of 6: Read any copy of the book called "The Legend of Red Eagle" to get this objective. There's one copy next to a dead adventurer inside Rebel's Cairn, which is a location you'll need to visit anyway.
2 of 6: Go to Red Eagle Redoubt and enter the cave, then fight your way through the forsworn to reach a door that leads outside.
3 of 6: Go up the stairs until you find a forsworn briarheart who has the Red Eagle's Fury sword on him. Kill him and take the sword, then go to Rebel's Cairn.
4 of 6: Activate the altar that's in the middle of the large round cave to put the sword in it, then go through the secret door that opens to find a large chamber with a powerful draugr named Red Eagle in it.
5 of 6: After you defeat him and his skeletons, return to the altar and activate the sword to get Red Eagle's Bane, which is superior to Red Eagle's Fury.
6 of 6: NOTE: Awhile after you finish the quest, you may be able to get it again by reading another copy of the "The Legend of Red Eagle" book. If so, return to the forsworn briarheart you got Red Eagle's Fury from to find that he has another copy of it on him. That way, you can have both Red Eagle swords at once.
