The Elder Scrolls V: Skyrim Hints

Looting Silverdrift Lair.

  • 1 of 6: Enter Silverdrift Lair and make your way past a couple of draugr to a huge multi-level room.
  • 2 of 6: After optionally exploring its large side area (see below), use the narrow stone walkways to cross the room, then watch out for two swinging gate traps and a couple of draugr.
  • 3 of 6: Look for a way to open the spear gate that's past the swinging gate traps, then go through the door that's past it.
  • 4 of 6: Kill the draugr in the next room, then use the pull chain that's next to the gate to open it while standing back to avoid the swinging log trap.
  • 5 of 6: Move on, fighting draugr as you encounter them, until you reach the iron doors that lead to a large chamber with a draugr overlord and a Word Wall.
  • 6 of 6: Go through the door on the west side of the chamber to find more loot, then use the pull chain next to the treasure chest to access a shortcut back to the exit.
