The Elder Scrolls V: Skyrim Hints
Masks of the Dragon Priests.
of 11: There are eight special dragon priests in the game that each wear a unique and powerful magic mask. Each mask has a large armor rating plus a powerful enchantment on it.
of 11: Six of the dragon priests can be gotten to without having to work on any quest series.
of 11: The ninth dragon priest mask can't be gotten from any dragon priest, but instead has to be obtained from a certain altar.
of 11: After you get the masks from all eight of the above-mentioned dragon priests, take them to Labyrinthian.
of 11: Find the large dome-shaped structure in the approximate center of the large outdoor ruins, then use one of the openings on its north side to go around to where you can enter its central room.
of 11: Go up to the ruined altar and look on the floor near it for a wooden mask.
of 11: Pick up the mask, then equip it in inventory to be taken back in time to before the altar was ruined.
of 11: Move up to the altar to find that there are eight interactive busts along its two sides that you can use to place the eight dragon priest masks you've collected.
of 11: After you place all eight of them, the top of the altar will open up, revealing a ninth bust with the Konahrik mask on it.
of 11: Take the masks from all nine busts, then return to the present time by removing the wooden mask. (Note that it has no other use, so you might as well drop it near the altar.)
