The Elder Scrolls V: Skyrim Hints
Find the Gauldur Amulet Fragment in Geirmund's Hall.
1 of 10: Go to Geirmund's Hall, which is a short way directly east of Ivarstead. See the Whiterun section of the World Map Exploration Guide.
2 of 10: Kill off the skeevers in the first cave room, then look in the back for a large hole.
3 of 10: Drop carefully down the hole so that you land in the water, then climb up the nearby log steps and go through a door to find a couple of frostbite spiders to kill.
4 of 10: Watch for a dart trap's pressure plate just past them, then enter the crypt area cautiously. There are some reclining draugr that you can get the first strike against if you're sneaky.
5 of 10: Past the gate, go down the short tunnel, then stay in it and lure draugr to you. When they stop coming, climb the log stairs in their room, then turn and look up at the raised bridges to see another draugr to take down.
6 of 10: Open the nearby locked door by either picking its lock or getting the key from the dead guy on the slab, then kill the draugr and skeever that are in the next room.
7 of 10: Move along the passage, killing another draugr, until you reach the raised bridge area.
8 of 10: Kill the two draugr past the second bridge, then move over to the start of the swinging axe trap. Wait there as a draugr comes after you and gets chopped up, then quicksave and time your run through the axes.
9 of 10: Use the chain past them to shut them off, then move on to where you drop down into a large chamber. This is where you're going to fight Sigdis Gauldurson.
10 of 10: After you take Sigdis down, follow the quest arrow to his body, then loot it to get his amulet fragment and unique bow. Go down the tunnel past his sarcophagus until you reach a room with some treasure, then keep going to find a lever that opens a secret door that leads back to the entry area.
