How should I handle this combat?
1 of 5: You could hang back and let Hadvar do all the fighting. He can easily dispose of those two Stormcloak soldiers by himself.
2 of 5: However, you may prefer to get in a bit of combat skill practice. Equip all of the armor pieces you found, plus one of the swords.
3 of 5: You may also want to check the few spells you start out with to see if you want to use any of them. If so, equip a spell in your left hand and a sword in your right hand. (Note that you won't be able to block enemy blows this way.)
4 of 5: As soon as Hadvar opens the second gate, charge in and go up to the Stormcloaks to get their attention. That way, at least one of them will attack you, and you can get in some Light Armor skill practice (by letting him hit you) or some Block skill practice (by blocking his blows).
5 of 5: If you have a combat spell like Flames ready, you can cast it at him to get some Destruction skill practice. Or if you have the Healing spell ready, cast it to heal yourself and get Restoration practice while under attack (and/or right after the battle is over).
