Use the Saarthal Amulet to escape the trap.
1 of 3: Go to the apparel section of your inventory and equip the Saarthal Amulet, then return to the fancy wall carving you got it from.
2 of 3: As Tolfdir notes, the wall is now vulnerable to your magic.
3 of 3: Hit it with the Flames spell (or some other damaging spell) to shatter it and get the next objective.
