The Elder Scrolls V: Skyrim Hints
Find Pantea's Flute.
1 of 8: Talk to Pantea Ateia to get this objective, then travel to Hob's Fall Cave. (See the Dawnstar section of the World Map Exploration Guide for directions.)
2 of 8: Enter the cave and go down the icy passage to encounter several skeletons and necromancers. Move forward slowly and take them on one at a time whenever you can.
3 of 8: After crossing a bridge, you'll encounter more of the same. After clearing out the large room, look for a pull chain to the right of a closed spear gate.
4 of 8: Use the chain to lower the spears, then move slowly forward to find the passage guarded by three magic trap pillars. Each of them can be deactivated by either running up to it and taking its soul gem, or knocking the soul gem off the pillar with an arrow or ranged spell (such as Firebolt).
5 of 8: After you meet another necromancer, you'll come to a room with three powerful necromancers. Be sure to hang back and use ranged attacks against them as much as possible to avoid getting overwhelmed.
6 of 8: Look on the upper floor of their area for a large treasure chest that has Pantea's Flute in it.
7 of 8: Go through the fence in the SW corner of the area and drop down to shortcut your way back to the exit, then return to the Bards College.
8 of 8: Talk to Pantea to hand the flute over and get a permanent +1 to all six of your magic skills. (Note that one of the skills may only gain practice progress rather than actually going up a point.)
