The Elder Scrolls V: Skyrim Hints
Find Finn's Lute.
1 of 6: Talk to Inge Six Fingers to get this objective, then travel to Stony Creek Cave. (See the Riften section of the World Map Exploration Guide for directions.)
2 of 6: Enter the cave and go up the ramps on the right to reach a long passage, then start watching for bandits as you go along it.
3 of 6: Just past the first bandit encounter is a right-side area. Go up its wooden ramps, then look on your left for a hard-to-see cave tunnel that leads to another bandit's room. (Watch out for the swinging mace trap.)
4 of 6: In the room, you'll find Finn's Lute inside a large treasure chest.
5 of 6: Take it and go back the way you came to exit the cave, then return to the Bards College.
6 of 6: Talk to Inge Six Fingers to hand the lute over and get a permanent +1 to all six of your stealth skills. (Note that one of the skills may only gain practice progress rather than actually going up a point.)
