Take over the caravan.
1 of 2: Stay crouched and follow Hadvar and his men along until you come in range of the Stormcloaks.
2 of 2: Stay back and fire on them while Hadvar and the rest close to melee. (Note that Hadvar is unkillable, but his two men aren't.)
