The Elder Scrolls V: Skyrim Hints
How does the double headgear glitch work?
1 of 4: Headgear glitches that allow you to wear more than one piece of headgear at a time aren't new to Bethesda RPGs. In this one, you can wear a circlet at the same time you wear a falmer helmet or a Penitus Oculatus helmet.
2 of 4: You can get falmer helmets from falmer hives (see the World Map Exploration Guide's "Locations By Type" list), and Penitus Oculatus helmets from agents of the same name in Dragon Bridge (a ways SW of Solitude) or by doing the Dark Brotherhood Faction Quests.
3 of 4: After getting an unenchanted circlet and one of those helmets, enchant them both with Fortify Alchemy and wear them both while making potions.
4 of 4: This brings your maxed-out potion-empowering gear up to where it'll give you 29% X 6 = 174% improvement on created potions. This lets you make Fortify Enchanting potions with a percentage of 37, and Fortify Smithing potions with a percentage of 147.
