How does the Fortify Restoration potion glitch work?
1 of 6: For some reason, drinking a potion with a Fortify Restoration effect on it will increase the percentage effectiveness of your enchanted skill-enhancing gear.
2 of 6: After equipping all your Fortify Alchemy gear, create one Fortify Restoration potion, then exit the alchemy screen and drink it.
3 of 6: Go to inventory and check your alchemy-fortifying gear to see that its percentages are now much higher.
4 of 6: Unequip and re-equip each piece to make sure the game puts the new, improved effect on you, then make another Fortify Restoration potion before the effects of the previous one can wear off.
5 of 6: Keep that up until you get a really high percentage on those potions, then make some Fortify Enchanting and Fortify Smithing potions that'll also have really high percentages. You can use them to improve gear to a much greater extent, and to put much more powerful enchantments on it.
6 of 6: I didn't really care to push this exploit to its limit (if it even has one), but I know you can take it pretty darn far, making stuff that'll over-power your character massively. It's an interesting alternative to the PC Cheat Codes, especially if you're not playing the game on a PC.
