The Elder Scrolls V: Skyrim Hints
Bthardamz Lower District
1 of 8: Watch for two dwarven spiders to attack in the corridor past the first room, then open some doors to enter a huge chamber.
2 of 8: Sneak into the chamber and over to the two small thrones with a lever between them. Using the lever will activate some spinning blades traps in the main chamber below, possibly injuring or killing some of the afflicted who are down there.
3 of 8: Finish them off and deactivate the traps, then cross the chamber and go down the next corridor. Past the empty room, follow the stone path to reach a large open gate and a couple more afflicted.
4 of 8: Just past the gate is another afflicted and two dwarven spheres. Hang back and let them take down the afflicted for you, then finish them off. (Note that you might be able to take cover from them in the corner that's between the gate and a large pillar.)
5 of 8: A ways past the gate is a pressure plate on the floor near a large doorway. Try to use the trap against the afflicted who are in the area past the doorway, then use the lever on the wall if you want to deactivate it.
6 of 8: Turn right past the doorway and go down to some steps. Go up them and fight two dwarven spiders, then follow the stone pathway to a door to the Bthardamz Study area.
7 of 8: When you return to this area, follow the stone pathway until you reach a path split, then turn left and go up the first curving stone ramp you come to. If you're sneaky enough, you can avoid the notice of the four afflicted who are down on the main path, but note that there are three more in the area past the ramps.
8 of 8: After you sneak past or kill all of those guys, return to the main path and move along it until you reach the door to the Bthardamz Arcanex area.
