Patrol the streets of the Stone Quarter at night.
1 of 3: Leave the palace and go to the open-air market area in the city's SW corner.
2 of 3: Even though you're supposed to have to wait until nighttime, the murderer may already be there. If not, wait an hour at a time until he shows up.
3 of 3: The killer is Calixto Corrium. Wait and watch as he kills a woman, after which you'll get the next objective. (Or you can attack him before he kills the woman in order to save her life, but only do so if he's moving toward her with his knife drawn.)
