The Elder Scrolls V: Skyrim Hints
Rescue Fjotra from the Forsworn.
1 of 9: Go to Broken Tower Redoubt, which is a ways directly east of Karthwasten, then kill off the outdoor forsworn.
2 of 9: Enter the building and sneak along the passage until you see a forsworn standing in a large room. Sneak-attack her, then watch for another one patrolling the upstairs area.
3 of 9: After you sneak-attack her, go up the stairs and turn right. Past a door, carefully avoid two pressure plates on the floor near where the passage turns right.
4 of 9: Sneak slowly forward to the circular tower area, watching for another forsworn either directly ahead or in the area to the right. After she's down, go through the wooden door on the east side of the tower.
5 of 9: Move along the passage until you enter another circular tower area, then sneak your way over to the base of a wide staircase. Sneak slowly up the staircase until you can sneak-shoot a forsworn, then back up a bit and wait for two more to come investigate.
6 of 9: Note that one of them is bound to hit the tripwire that dumps some large rocks onto the staircase, so be careful not to be hit by any of those. After the forsworn are all killed, go to the top of the staircase and through a room to reach another staircase.
7 of 9: Go through the door at the top of it to get back outside, then go across to a door that leads back inside. Crouch down before going through the door, then wait for a good opportunity to sneak-shoot the powerful forsworn briarheart who's on the other side of the area.
8 of 9: Take him down as quickly as you can, then use the Flames spell from a safe distance to detonate the rune trap that's in the middle of the area. On the other side is the locked cell that Fjotra is being held in.
9 of 9: Either pick the lock or get the prison key from the briarheart, then talk to Fjotra to get the next objective.
