The Elder Scrolls V: Skyrim Hints
Defeat the Guardian Troll.
1 of 6: Travel to Graywinter Watch (see the Whiterun section of the World Map Exploration Guide), then go inside.
2 of 6: There are three regular trolls in there in addition to the troll spirit. Crouch down as soon as you enter the cave and sneak-shoot the nearest troll.
3 of 6: Try to kill it before it reaches you. Even if you can, the other trolls will probably come after you right away.
4 of 6: Back out of the cave if you need to, since the trolls won't follow you outside. Go back in when you're ready, but be warned that all of the trolls will probably gang up on you at once, including the guardian spirit.
5 of 6: Bring a tough follower and loads of healing potions, and summon the most powerful creature you can to help you finish off all of the trolls.
6 of 6: If all else fails, try sprinting past the trolls and hiding behind the tent in the camp area while hitting them with ranged attacks.
