How can I find evidence in the house?
1 of 3: Enter the House of Clan Battle-Born, preferably during the day when the doors are unlocked and no one is home.
2 of 3: Open the door in the west wall to find a bedroom with a locked door in it.
3 of 3: Pick the lock on the door, then take the book called "Imperial Missive" that's on the desk in the room past it.
