Discover the significance of Crimson Nirnroot.
1 of 4: Look near the exit to the Alftand Cathedral for a small structure called Sinderion's Field Laboratory.
2 of 4: Enter the lab, then look for a crimson nirnroot to harvest next to an Alchemy skill book.
3 of 4: Look around for other good loot, plus Sinderion's remains. (Apparently he came here sometime after you did a nirnroot-related quest for him back in Oblivion.)
4 of 4: Loot the skeleton to get Sinderion's field journal, then read it in the "books" section of your inventory to get the next objective.
