The Elder Scrolls V: Skyrim Hints

Search Mistwatch for Fjola.

  • 1 of 10: Go to Mistwatch and kill off the outdoor bandits, then get up on the outer wall and go along it until you come to a gap with a raised bridge on the other side.
  • 2 of 10: Use the nearby lever to lower the bridge, then cross it and enter the Mistwatch North Tower area.
  • 3 of 10: Move down the passage until a guy named Christer called out to you from a side room, then go talk to him to get this objective and a key.
  • 4 of 10: The key opens the nearby key-required door. Go through the empty room past it and up some stairs to find a couple of bandits and three bear traps.
  • 5 of 10: Past the second set of stairs, climb the ladder to get back outside, then go along the walkway to find a door to the Mistwatch West Tower area.
  • 6 of 10: Fight your way through four bandits to reach the stairs, then go up them and along to find a door that leads back outside.
  • 7 of 10: Go across to where you can enter the Mistwatch East Tower area, then go around to where the bandit leader talks to you.
  • 8 of 10: It turns out that she's Fjola, and doesn't want to go back to her dreary, boring farmer husband. You can either insist on killing her or agree to trick Christer into leaving her alone. (If you kill her, take her wedding band before you go.)
  • 9 of 10: Either way, retrace your route to return to Christer's room, then talk to him. If you killed Fjola, you'll have no choice but to admit it, and Christer will attack you.
  • 10 of 10: If you made a deal with Fjola, choose either dialogue option to get Christer to run off and forget about her. You can then find Fjola on the nearby stairs and talk to her to finish up. (Note that you get to keep her wedding band, which you can sell.)
