The Elder Scrolls V: Skyrim Hints
Mzulft
1 of 9: Get the key from Plinius' body so you can open the next door, then go down the corridor and watch out for a spear trap's pressure plate around the corner.
2 of 9: Past another corner is a room where you'll start encountering dwarven metal spiders. Smash them, then move on to another room with spiders.
3 of 9: Go through that room's untrapped door, then whack a spider that's near the next door.
4 of 9: Past it, go down the mine tunnel until you reach a large cave room with a chaurus in it. It's a powerful creature with lots of health, so try to sneak-attack it, then have a follower or summoned creature distract it for you.
5 of 9: Down the next tunnel are a tripwire for a falling rocks trap and a cave with two more chaurus in it. You might want to avoid the tripwire, then lure the chaurus into chasing you down the tunnel, hitting the tripwire when you go back past it.
6 of 9: Go through the door that's in the back of the chaurus' cave, then move up a large ramp to reach a spot where a dwarven sphere attacks you. In case you haven't encountered these before in other areas, they're very powerful compared to dwarven spiders.
7 of 9: Past the next door, kill a dwarven spider, then watch out for a sphere attacking you just past that. After whacking another spider, go through a door to enter a huge two-level room.
8 of 9: Stay on the upper level and go down the narrow ledge, past two sets of dwarven pistons. Note that they'll only activate when you step on the pressure plates on the floor between piston sets.
9 of 9: Past the pistons, fight another sphere, then move on to find the door to the Mzulft Boilery area.
