How do I raise or lower bids?
1 of 5: You can't do it directly -- you need to have one of your staff do it for you.
2 of 5: Enter the Dispatch Neotiators screen, and select which of your staffers you want to send to whichever planet or group. Then, just select Dispatch Team, and they will go and try to negotiate with that party.
3 of 5: Be forewarned, though, that you can't negotiate with everyone. Some groups simply won't change from their original bids. To get a good idea of which groups are likely to change their bids and which aren't, read each of the buyer and seller biographies.
4 of 5: In addition, not every one of your staffers will be able to negotiate with everyone. You need to choose who you are sending and to whom very carefully.
5 of 5: Read the biographies on everyone (especially so that, with your staffers, you know who is best to work with whom) so that you have the most information at your disposal, then just plunge in. Save and restore a lot so that you can try different things, and see what works and what doesn't.
