The shadow freezes me, and I don't unthaw in time to stop it.
1 of 3: You need to find a way to get the Shadow to freeze you sooner.
2 of 3: If you attack it or threaten it in some way, the Shadow will freeze you sooner. The sooner you freeze, the sooner you unthaw.
3 of 3: If you have the "Magic" cube with you, which you probably do, you will thaw in a short enough period of time to still stop the shadow.
