1 of 14: You've obviously wasted too much time exploring.
2 of 14: While it's an interesting apartment building, you don't need to look in every single room.
3 of 14: There's no need to go into the basement at all.
4 of 14: In fact, the 1st floor has nothing to offer either.
5 of 14: Birdsong is being held on the 2nd floor, northern-most middle room.
6 of 14: Go immediately to the 2nd floor. Throw grenades in the rooms to the south and east.
7 of 14: Split up your party and surround the enemy from both sides.
8 of 14: Notice one room has no hallway entrance.
9 of 14: Blast a hole in that wall.
10 of 14: Throw a grenade to clear the newly accessed room, and then have 2 of your party enter that room.
11 of 14: Throw a grenade in the room immediately south of Birdsong's location.
12 of 14: Enter that room with 2 of your team members.
13 of 14: Use Fiber Optic Viewing to spot Birdsong.
14 of 14: Have all 4 people enter simultaneously from both sides.
