System Shock 2 Hints
Laser Rapier
The laser rapier is a melee weapon that has a longer reach than the wrench and does more damage. No charge is required to keep this weapon running. If you want to invest the skills, the crystal shard is a better melee weapon. However, if you already have (or plan to have) a high Energy Weapons skill and don't want to invest in the necessary Exotic Weapons and Research skills, the laser rapier will work well enough.
