How do I get past this large monster in the Athletics Sector?
1 of 4: The monster is known as a rumbler. This is the first one you will encounter, although more will come on later levels.
2 of 4: It looks like a grotesque version of the hybrids you've seen already, doesn't it?
3 of 4: Treat it as such.
4 of 4: Anti-personnel fire of some kind works well here, as do incendiary grenades. A few shots of a pistol or shotgun in burst mode will kill the rumbler. You can probably even get off these shots before the rumbler gets too close to you. Other weapons or psi attacks can also work too, if you don't have very good standard weapons skills -- although I would recommend against fighting with melee weapons unless you've had a lot of practice with them already.
