System Shock 2 Hints
Pistol
The pistol is your basic standard weapon. It isn't all that powerful, but it does come with three kinds of bullets, and the burst mode can still help against stronger enemies. If you want to build up in Standard Weapons, the assault rifle will eventually be better, but if not, the pistol is probably a useful fall-back for when other ranged weapons fail.

MODES: normal (1 shot), burst (3 shots, does double damage vs. normal)
