System Shock 2 Hints
How can I get up to Deck 4?
1 of 7: The elevator shaft appears to be blocked. You'll have to get out at Hydroponics to see what the problem is.
2 of 7: Explore the level for a bit, and Dr. Polito will eventually send you an e-mail telling you what to do.
3 of 7: Head into the administrative offices to the west of the elevator in Hydroponics B/C. You will find a jar of Toxin A there -- Polito will tell you to research the toxin and use it against the biomass blocking the elevator. (You may also get this message if you find the toxin first somewhere else.)
4 of 7: You will need to find four doses of toxin and use them in the environmental regulators scattered around this deck.
5 of 7: If you don't already have it, you will need to learn the Research skill to use the toxin. You can learn the skill at upgrade units in the Biological Survey labs just to the east of the elevator -- Dr. Polito even provided you some extra upgrade units for this purpose.
6 of 7: Also note that the toxin takes a few chemicals to research. You can find them in the chemical storeroom on the west side of Sector B and in an adjacent room.
7 of 7: Once you've applied the toxins, you can then take the elevator up to deck 4.
