Star Trek: 25th Anniversary Hints

How can I find the ingredients for a cure?

  • 1 of 9: First of all, you should probably look through the main computer (in the room where the landing party beamed down to the station).
  • 2 of 9: Specifically, have McCoy use the computer twice until he can bring up the medical database.
  • 3 of 9: McCoy suggests that experimenting with combinations of gases might bring the answer.
  • 4 of 9: The synthesizer will let you create new compounds if you have the proper canisters of gas connected to it.  See another question if you need help operating the synthesizer.
  • 5 of 9: Synthesizing the proper gas isn't enough at first.  You must use the virus culture (from the freezer) in the compartment in the synthesizer to run the experiments.
You can't use the pure gas on the culture from within your inventory.
  • 6 of 9: Only two gases can be synthesized: nitrous oxide and ammonia.  Nitrous oxide can be made with N2 and O2 -- ammonia takes N2 and H2.
  • 7 of 9: You can find the N2 in the reactor room, in a cabinet on the right side.
  • 8 of 9: Get the proper gas cylinders to use in the synthesizer.
  • 9 of 9: With proper experimentation, you'll learn that you need ammonia.
