How do I operate the laser drill?
1 of 9: The first thing you should worry about is finding something that you want to make with the drill. If you don't know what the purpose of the drill is yet, keep exploring. The next hint will assume that you know what that purpose is.
2 of 9: If you want to make a copy of the card key, you'll first have to tell the drill how to make one.
3 of 9: If you scanned the card slot, you should be able to load the appropriate information into the drill's computer by using the science tricorder on the console that controls the drill.
4 of 9: The next thing you will want to do is make a mold for the card.
5 of 9: Just make it in the stone that the drill is currently aimed at.
6 of 9: Have Spock use the console again, and choose setting "100" to make that template.
7 of 9: Now you're ready to make the card. Put the appropriate material in the hole that's formed in the rock.
8 of 9: Take the tri-phosphate silver (from the ground outside) and use it in the hole.
9 of 9: The setting "001" is sufficiently strong. Take the card.
