Beneath a Steel Sky Hints

How do I get down to ground level?

  • 1 of 12: This puzzle is a pretty big one, so don't look for an answer right away.  You might want to try solving some other puzzles first before you read any further.
  • 2 of 12: You'll need to fix your ID card to give yourself the proper LINC access.
  • 3 of 12: Do you know of anyone who's hacked into LINC before?
  • 4 of 12: Anita, in the pipe factory, has.  She's on the screen past the foreman, and you'll need to get past him before you can talk to her.
  • 5 of 12: Anita will tell you how you can reach LINC to change your access.
  • 6 of 12: You need to get a Schriebmann port.
  • 7 of 12: Go to Doctor Burke and get the port from him.
  • 8 of 12: Once you have the port, you need to access the LINC interface.
  • 9 of 12: It's located in the security building.
  • 10 of 12: Once you're in the Security building, enter LINC space via the interface -- insert your ID in the slot and sit down.
  • 11 of 12: You'll need the Phoenix program, which can be found just past the room with the swirled colors on the floor.
  • 12 of 12: Once you have that, run it via a LINC terminal, you'll have unlimited LINC access.  You can then use all the elevators.
