1 of 23: This solution is assuming that the puzzle is in the starting position. There is no apparent way to reset this puzzle, so if the knobs have already been moved, it may be necessary to load a saved game in order to reset them to the starting position. (You can, of course, try to solve the puzzle on your own without resetting it first, but there's not a good way to give hints that work from every possible position other than the starting one.)
2 of 23: Click on knob 2 to highlight it (from the center of the vertical channel). Next, click on the spot at the top (under the 6).
3 of 23: Click on 1 (at the bottom) and move it to the space at the center (to the left of the vertical channel).
4 of 23: Click on 2, then click on the space at the bottom (center spot of the bottom row).
5 of 23: Click on 6, then click on the space at the bottom (just above the 2).
6 of 23: Move 1 to the space at the upper left corner. Number 1 is now in the correct position.
7 of 23: Move 6 to the top center.
8 of 23: Move 2 into the space at the top (just under the 6).
9 of 23: Move 3 to the space at the center.
10 of 23: Move 2 to the bottom right.
11 of 23: Move 6 down to the bottom.
12 of 23: Move 4 to the bottom (just over the 6).
13 of 23: Move 3 to the top right. Number 3 is now in the correct position.
14 of 23: Move 4 to the top.
15 of 23: Move 6 to the top (under the 4).
16 of 23: Move 2 to the center.
17 of 23: Move 6 to the bottom right. Number 6 is now in position
